Another no photo report. I didn't forget the camera, but the net pen fish weren't worth a photo op. ;-)

Launched from Seven Bays at 6am and lines in the water by 6:45. Trolled two leaded line rigs out 155' and two mono rigs out 225'. I had a perch pattern Frisky Jenny on one leaded line outfit and a Kekeda all orange fly on the other. Both flies were tipped with worm on the trailer treble. Ran a perch Rip'n Minnow on one mono rig and a black pearl on the other.

First hook up came about 15 minutes into the troll and it was a double, both on the port side. I had grabbed the leaded line rig as it went down first, so Debbie grabbed the mono rig. Both fish landed and into the cooler.

We continued on with the troll and had interest in our offerings throughout our 3 1/2 hr stint on the water. We ended the outing with 7 in the cooler, me with 4 and Debbie with 3. As with last Monday, there were many drive-bys and several that spit the hook right at the boat. After the first hook up of the day, the plugs went silent. One thing stood out, the Kekeda orange fly was what they wanted and was responsible for 6 fish in the cooler while the Frisky Jenny Trick R treat (the hot fly last week) was all but cold. It got hit several times, but only one hook up that I watched swim away as it spit the hook.

The day started out overcast and windy with a nice chop on the water. As the morning progressed, the wind calmed and the clouds slowly went away. By the time we pulled gear, it was mostly sunny. Back at the ramp by 10am and boat on the trailer before the crowds showed. :-)

Due to my son's wedding in 3 weeks, this will be my last report until mid-October. Will have to drool over others reports. LOL

Glad to see the Orange Kekeda could get you some fish, even if they were recent net pens. It will be a while for me as well with a brand new baby at our house. I don't see myself getting out there too often this Fall and Winter. Like you I'll be drooling over other's reports and hoping to get out a few times. Thanks for the report Phil.
