HY 2 to Davenport was real nice but from Davenport to Ft Spokane was a little dicey in spots with ice. Started fishing at about 9AM and started trolling inside the confluence and continued out and then north along the shoreline for a while. Marked fish but very few bites. Then moved to the south side of the confluence and trolled down towards Seven Bays. Still very slow...too slow. Had a couple in the box. At about 1PM we found the fish and the bite was on (first picture tells it all). We were limited out by 2:30. Most fish were in the 14"-16" range with one nice carry over. We lost more than we netted, several right at the boat. Wind was pretty bad out of the North so would run up and troll back with the wind.
I was using a Chartreuse lure that I tied that looks a lot like a Macs Boogy Bait tipped with worm, a Chartreuse Arrow Flash Dodger and leaded line out 4 colors. My friend was using a red and orange tube fly (sorry no name and not able to get anymore) tipped with worm, a Rocky Mountain Orange Sockeye Bahama Signature Dodger and leaded line out about 3.5 colors. Not real sure color made a whole lot of difference. Speed was around 2mph (hard to control in strong winds).
If someone can tell me what they think all the chatter is on the second picture I would like to know. I am not new to fish finders so was a little confused. Water clarity was great and no debris in the water. We encountered this in one area only.
