I got an unexpected day off and put it to good use! We put in at Spring Canyon at 07:30. I had the luxury of riding along with Mcfisherson13 of this site. He wanted to explore new water and I was game. We ran up to the mouth of the SanPoil and dropped our gear in. We used Kekeda type flies in pink, orange and perch as well as K-flies in orange. We fished them on the downriggers from 10 to 50 feet on the wire. We were prospecting for Kokes and had one almost to the boat with a jointed orange rapala on the surface line! We flat lined Rapalas 180 - 225 feet back. We toyed with speed from 1-3MPH. We caught Rainbows on all colors and almost every depth down to 50FT. The Bows were feisty & plump ranging from 14-19". But, 17-18 average size. We were able to catch and release several fish before keeping our limits of Bows. Thanks Mark for another great day out! Sorry no pics.
