Went out yesterday on a buddy's boat chasing some rainbows and silver's. I waited at the boat launch at Spring Canyon and watched 10-15 boats launch while my buddy missed the turn @ Wilbur in the fog. We finally got launched and headed up river a ways and we're fishing by 0830. We we ran 5 rods, 4 off of the planner boards and one straight back. The first 3 fish were mine off of the orange and black Sebile magic swimmer. First fish was a 15", but the next 2 were nice and thick 18 1/2"-19"+ The bite was on and off as we worked the same area and every time we were about to leave for new water we would pick up a fish. I had apparently used all my magic on the first 3 fish, because my 2 poles were dead for the rest of the day. The other 2 guys managed to pick up 5 more Rainbows, 3 of them 18+"s and thick plus 2 bonus Kokanee of the 13" variety. It wasn't a hot day of fishing but 5 big thick rainbows made it pretty good. Plus the mother in law is in town so it made the trip that much sweeter.
