Needed a tug on my fishing rod so decided to fish sturgeon in the Kalama area as this is usually a sure thing you cant keep them but fun to catch. Was fishing by 9AM at a spot that normally produces some fish one hour later not one bite. Six different spots later same results not one bite all day. Seen lots of dying smelt in the river and many sea lions not sure if sea lions are impacting the fishery or just to much bait in the river , and fish are not hungry. Fair amount of fishermen working for some early springer's but did not see any landed. I guess I will have to head to Eastern Wa. to get that tug
