New to this forum but have been lurking for a month or two as I've just started getting back out on the water. Never fished Brewster before and it was all the mad-house of boats it was advertised to be. Got on the water at 5:15 and stayed until 1:30. With the air temps in the upper 90's, things starting clearing out after 9am.
First time at Brewster, first time targeting sockeye and I thought I was prepared. Dodger, squid in pink and white, marinated coon shrimp, red barbless hooks but we got completely skunked. We were in the right place as we saw people catching all around us. We tried depths from 5 to 35 feet throughout the day. Had the right speed as we were matching most of the boats around us.
Obviously something missing.
Everyone on this board is so great about sharing and helpful, if anyone has suggestions, I'd love to know what I might be doing wrong. Might try again next weekend if I can get over there.
Thanks
K-Los
