We fished today downstream of Vernita Bridge. Fishing was good overall but we had to work for our fish. We ended with 4 nice chinook and released 2 steelhead. We started our day downstream trolling flashers and super baits near the bottom. This is often a fabulous technique in this area in the morning when the water conditions are low. We picked up 2 nice chinook on the hot tomale super bait behind a chrome pro troll flasher.
After the water came up late morning we switched over to backtrolling diver and eggs. We found a slot that had quite a few fish in it and landed 2 more nice chinook and two steelhead. All in all we had a fantastic on the Hanford Reach.
I still have a few openings for full boats while I am here. I have Sunday the 27th and Tuesday the 29th. I also have Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th available. Give me a call or text if any of these days will work for you at 208-861-0654. I also have some boats I work with down here with some openings so if you have a specific date that works for you don't hesitate to give me a call.
