Great day on the water for the boys!!! We'd been on the water the night before and the boat sat outside at the cabin over night. Took us about a half hour of soaking for the boat to finally let go of the trailer and for the water pump to start pushing water through the engine. We trolled flies right on the surface at about 3.5 mph. We boated 22 fish in 4 exhilarating hours. Only thing that kept us from our 30 fish limit was the sub-zero wind chill. Had a blast watching the boys go nuts on these beautiful 18-22 inch rainbows, all the while enjoying the most beautiful scenery you could imagine! Can't wait to get back out!!!

Those are some nice fish !! Its great to get young people out to experience the wonderful world of fishing and the outdoors. Lake Roosevelt is in my opinion is the best fishery in the northwest. We need to pass this wonderful experience on to our children. GREAT JOB DAD.

Nice job, think that will be a great memory for everyone. I have a spot I like way up the arm but it's a long ride on a cold day and I have never done that good. Think I will try the faster troll, not sure I have ever gone that fast.

The faster we went, the hotter the bite. We went as fast as we could and still keep our flies under the surface.
