WOW! Launched at Keller and fishing by 7:15. My boy and I were letting lines out and got a double on instantly. Didn't even get them all the way out. One 20" Kok and a 18.5" . Letting out again and hooking lines to rigger and another double on, both jerked line out of our hands. Again both kok's and we released them since they were around 16". The next time we both got the riggers down to 12 and 15' and another double on. Again both 16" koks and both were released. Got back in the water sat down in the cab to get hands warm and it was 7:31. We ended up releasing 10 to 12 Kok's in the next hour trying to get the bigger ones and then the bite slowed considerably. Using the pink hootchies with the pink/black blades and corn. Have no idea how many bows we released but finally got our last 2 kok's and done at 11.

What an awesome fishery! Not too many places you can release a 16" kokanee with realistic hopes of finding bigger ones. Nice work!

Nice catch and sounds like a great day. Curious were you fishing upriver or down river from Keller launch.

Thank you

widebear: Awesome catch. I hope we are able to have some success also when we get over that way in early January. I've been trying to find pink/black smile blades, but haven't had any luck. Do you use a waterproof black pen and decorate the pink ones up yourself? I also thought a guy could use black fingernail polish also to put black tiger spots on them. Or maybe they are available in that color somewhere I haven't looked? Anyway, I really enjoy everyone like yourself who is willing to share their experiences and knowledge with other fishermen. Thank you. Tight Lines
