I had the privilege to take Joe and one of his sons, Evan fishing yesterday. We got to Lincoln launch a few minutes after 7AM. fresh snow, with no ice under. we decided to go ahead and put the chains on to launch, that made for a very comfortable situation. no sliding... we got the boat running, windows cleaned up enough to see and headed out to sterling. fish let us know that they had been waiting for us right away. first one in was a nice carryover, young Evan got to bring him in. Had our limit by noon. we were using 1 red & orange fly on lead. best producer, on pink hoochie on lead, second best producer, and one ugly fly with some pink, black and white on it on a surface line, biggest fish? no koks seen on this trip but every buddy left happy. my apologies for the sideways and upside down pics, I don't get technology when they look right on my computer and show different when downloaded to a page like this on???? but the smiles had to be shared.
