We fished today just below John Day at Rufus and got skunked. We threw every combination from cut plug and rouge river herring, quick fish and prawn rigs with no luck. At the peak we counted 33 boats from the grain silo down to the bridge at biggs and all day saw maybe 10 fish kept. There were probably 70 rods plunking on the gravel bar and did not see any fish landed there either.
