Started at Porcupine bay - worked across from the launch and varied depth,
25-45 FOW, and colors, dark to bright and nothing so show for it except a couple
of lite hits. Most interesting was a guy flying a large model float plane - he was
good too. Headed up river, but because of depth, or lack there of, didn't go above
the #3 can - didn't want to buy a new lower unit - and trolled the narrows. Switched
to greens and chartruese smile blades and #3-4 colrado blades - picked up a few
17" males, spawned out but with some meat on them, but empty stomachs. Sudden
depth hooks below the blades with a live worm caught all the fish. Water in the arm
is best described as a trash bin - saw several boats going flat out down the narrows
thump some pretty good sized "sticks" and I suspect it is going to get worse as the lake
fills- be careful out there y'al,l those logs are as bad as a rock.
