Fished the Spokane arm above 5 buoy with neighbor Jer. Finally found a school of 15-21 inch eaters. Used crawdad colored tube bates in 14 feet of water. The water has left the main channel and is spreading out onto large flats, knowing your way is critical at this time on this part of the river.

i've been thinking about trying small cooked shrimp, which somewhat resemble the
crawdads, with some different scents, up there - any thoughts on that idea ?? last
year up there i caught walleye and bass whose bellies were stuffed full of the small
pinkish/orange crawdads and have been considering the shrimp for bait all winter.
I haven't enough guts to try getting up there until the lake is close to 1270, which now
looks like the tail end of next week - thanks for the report. rr, spokane
