Hit the water above John Day @ 0700. 5 other boats out and I didn't see anything caught nor did I catch anything.
Was a good trip with my son and wife. Marked a few fish but could not get them to take.
Fished Brads cut plugs and super baits with tuna, shrimp, roe, and used anise, shrimp oil, and salmon/steelhead oil. Nothing.
Tried jet divers and cannon balls since I do not have riggers.
Weather was good and it was good to spend time with my 20 year old son and wife of 28 years.

Anyone have some advice, I would take it. I am 46 and this is my first year with a boat and trying Salmon on the Columbia.
I am a rookie and I freely admit it but I am trying like heck!
