Finally got back out to catch some of those great Rainbows Roosevelt has to offer. Got my buddy Greg out with me. On the water by 8:00 am out of Hunters. Got our first fish 10 minutes in. The lake was smooth and calm, a little breeze later but sun was out and the fish were biting. We had two poles out each, one on the downriggers and one one leaded line, I would have to say the leaded line was the most productive. On the downriggers we were down 10 to 14 feet with dd dodgers and a red double wammy. On the leaded line we were out two colors with silver wedding bands. Caught our limits and off the water by 12:30. The biggest fish was 20" with several close. I had one hit my leaded line that definitely was the strongest hit I've had all year only to break me off at the leader to leaded line knot. Oh yeah I just mentally told myself I need to retie my knot but didn't, good by fish, lure and double D. Great day hope to do it again Friday. Get out there and get some guys.
