This report is for for 10/21 thru 10/26.Did the yearly houseboat dockstay at Two Rivers marina. Our group started out fishing from 3 different boats which we tied up right there at the houseboat when we were done fishing. The first 2 or 3 days split rock was the place to be.Trolling flies like trick or treat, fire ant, kekada perch, and the natural all slammed fish trolled with or without bait behind a #1 wigglefin action disc at around 2.2 mph. This action disc really makes your fly dance. No need for dodger. We fished 4-5 colors of leadcore,or about 20 ft down on the wire.I was surprised by the amount of nicer rainbows we caught this trip.Several were in the 19 1/2 inch to 20 inch range. These fish were a blast on my ultralight rod my buddy built for me.The 3rd day or so split rock kinda fizzled, but we found action again right outside the mouth of the Spokane.

Sounds like my kind of vacation. Roll out of bed and into the boat. I would agree concerning the action disc. I'm curious if you run it right above the fly? I pin mine a couple of inches above it. Seems that they are more effective than a dodger.

Great report and what a way to enjoy your trip! There is good fishing throughout the reservoir right now and carryovers can be found in all three directions from Two Rivers, up the arm, north, and southwest. :-)

The wigglefin company also makes the slide lock bead that you set in place with a set of pliers to add space to fine tune your action.Try the discs also in front of a mini squid.Killer action
