Finally made it back to Lake Roosevelt. In the water @ Hunters around 8:00 am. Couple other empty trailers in the lot and a few bank fisher's. Weather was 25* and water was calm/slight chop. Thought it was going to be a Killer day. Long time fishing buddy Backsplash said it was a#1 on the calendar, not thinking to much bout that comment, we got the cold motors functioning and started trolling. It wasn't long before the # 1 came up again. After 45 min. our first hit and miss. another hour, hit and in the boat, first Bow. It went that way all day till 3:45 when we head for the launch.
It can only get better on L. Rose.... Silvers will be hitting soon too!!!!!
Ended up with 6 bows in the box and lost 6 with 4-5 pole shakers that didn't hook.. We drug plug, Kekeda flies, muddlers and homemade wedding rings. The homemade wedding had the most hits and in the boat success. The ole Go-To out preformed the latest craze in fly patterns. Not to say that today would be in favor of the infamous Kekeda fly. I will be back soon to try both with abandon. Also, hopefully another one of my long time FB. Capt. Steelie will be able to attend to work his magic. We will work the North end of this water to no end. It has done us well in the past years with R-bows and Very nice Silvers. To my brothers in OR & ID. time to get your butts up here!!!
Get out there, Oregon
