We headed for Lake Roosevelt very early Sunday morning, encountered heave fog and freezing temperatures most of the way from Yakima. Took a little longer than normal to make the trip. Started bank fishing near Spring Canyon boat launch about 7 AM. Boats were lined up in the parking lot waiting for someone to break the ice to get out into the main lake. Four of us fished from 7 until about 2:30 and picked up 11 nice rainbows. Two were over 19 inches and a couple were well over 17 inches. Caught them on various color Power Bait. We caught about one fish for every 3 or 4 bites, we fed them well. Color didn't seem to matter. Rained a little, snowed a little and was cold but it was good to be out of the house.
