For all of you out there who were unlucky, the fish do not always jump in the boat and I can sympathize. Seems like for every great trip to Roosevelt there is a matching poor one in my records. The water was cold, muddy and drawn down last Saturday. I was fishing solo and only ran downriggers with flies, hoochies and spinners. I never fished above 10 feet, which may have helped get bites. I also did not stick to a spot as I fished from Spring Canyon down and back, Swawilla and the bluffs at Keller. A big zero fish. I just see the coaches in Happy Gilmore laughing and saying better luck next time, as I throw a rod at them across the lake. Not really though as peace was in my soul, and an exposed tree at the bluffs gave me some treasure. Thank you to whoever donated the vance's flashers and apex, and if you are reading this I will get them back to you!

Tight lines,

TK
