On the water at dawn
to catch the walleyes before they spawn
Glad I got out of bed
because they were hitting on red (and moto roil)
And I know just because I drive a tracker
doesn't make me a good wise cracker.

But seriously, I caught 14 eyes, kept 7 to eat all males between 16 and 21 inches and released 7 over 22 inches. The largest was 9.25 lbs (28 inches), another was 6 lbs and the rest were 4-5 lbs. I hit the same spots as last week, not going to say where exactly because they are very small back eddies. Most were caught on a red head and june bug grub but every location I went required a change in color. I was on the water at 0545 and off at 1215. All were caught in 25-35 FOW.
