Launched at Lyons Ferry Thursday Morning. Wind was blowing super hard and it was raining. We planned this trip a while back so we had to fish, even though conditions were the worst they could be for spring break.

We went up the Palouse River and would drop lines in the middle and head to shore and wait. We used worms with about a foot of line to a huge weight to keep our bait planted. After a few minutes we would check our lines to see if we had any luck. We ended up with three yellow bellys and one 5-6 pound channel cat.

Everyone told us that we had to wait for the catfishing to pick up (May/June) and we proved them wrong.

I will be fishing the Lyon's Ferry and Palouse River in May and June. Never been there and wish t extract as much info on Bass, Catfish and Walleye as can be obtained. My 12 yr old Grandson will be fishing with us and we really wish to see him smile!!!!!
If any of you would be willing to share info on the Lyon's Ferry area, it will be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance

check at the tackle shop in Starbuck for most current info on that area around Lower Monumental/Little Goose and such. They keep very close tabs on what's biting, where, when and on what.
