A couple buddies and I parked the motor home near Wawawai last Thur, Fri, Sat and Mon to give it a try for the Steelhead.

Thurs we got there around 2:00 pm and tried it till dark with no avail.

Fri got started early and seen a guy catch two between 10:30 and 11:30, so I went over to see see what and how he was fishing. We where fishing between 12 and 8' below the bobber and he was at 5' to 3' depneding on surface activitie. We followed suit and I got a slam dunk about 12:30 and lost it. A buddy got a slam dunk and caught about a 36'' wild fish. after about 1:00 I did not see another fish caught the rest of the day.

Sat we finally started bringing fish in it all started about 11:00 and again shut of about 1:00.

Sun and Mon we did even get a bobber played with plus it was just too cold.

Note: none of the legal fish caught were over 24". This year has to be the smallest average size Steelhead I have ever seen. That is strange when last year was the largest average Steelhead I ever seen.
