Well this is a bit late but there arent many post here so I thought I would add one. We arrived at first light but that was to late to get the good spot. There were about 20 rods in the water already and only one fish caught during the early morning. We fished bobbers and jigs tipped with shrimp all day and only had one hit. Sadly we watched the bobber go under and pop right back up. The point closest to the dam produced four fish for four fortunate fellow fisherman. The big hatchery fish of the day was 15 lbs on the button. Tough day but always fun to be out with good friends!

I posted this for the Snake River but it appeared here for some strange reason?

Good report scottpratt, hope to see more of them along with the nice pictures. Did you see any boats on the water while you were there?

kenbarb: There were no boats to be found! The weather was poor and probably scared the boats off. Have you two been finding the fish lately?

ScottP. Do you have a favorite color of dyed shrimp on that section of the Snake? I like to use a deep Burgandy/Red colored prawn along with a liberal dose of Mike's shrimp flavored glow gel scent on a black and purple 1/8th oz. Rock Dancer jig down there. Sometimes when it's slow for me I'll switch to a # 2 owner hook with a 3 ft loop snell of 12# P Kine flourocarbon leader and fish a deep Purple dyed shrimp rigged head down with a liberal suirt of pink/ shrimp/ anise Glow scent smeared along the shrimp's legs. This set up is killer down at Drano in early Sept. and has put these bigger late run chromers in the cooler for me on the Snake. The Jigmiester

The Jigmiester: You are on the money! I like the red too but the best color was purple this day. All the fish caught were caught on purple shrimp and black/chartreuse jigs. My buddy is going back tomorrow morning. He says his brother caught several this week. The biggest being 34 inches. I am headed walleye fishing at Rosevelt.

Is it still a decent time to go fishing by there? If not when are the best times throughout the year?
