This report is a tad past due but the steelhead fishig had been pretty decent during the peak of the early fall run. My buddy Roger AKA: Paccbassman had a couple of good days with 4 keepers over three trips. Rog and I took home 9 keepers total over a period of couple of weeks. The fish counts counts are down right now so the fishing has slowed up quite a bit. We scored with dyed red, pink and purple prawns set on a depth of 6 to 9 feet with slip bobbers off of the bank. My new fishing buddy Flip' Shelotovsky had a great month of September for bigger hatchery fish. The fish checker seemed to confirm the slow down in the bite recently so I was pretty happy to get in on the action during the peak period.
