Well, I spent an entire week getting out of town, enjoying being in a no cellphone service area (awsome). Stayed in a motorhome on the north shore below Lower Granite Dam.

Through out my Sturgeon rod morning till eve, using every bait under the sun except the best (fresh Crappie). Had one fish on the whole time and the fish almost spooled me so i broke him off when I realized I had maybe 10 yrds of line left. Must have been a true giant to spool me like that in little current. It is early for Sturgeon, but, I usually do better then this.

The weather was great Sat through Thurs. Although as expected some good wind at times. Seen a few Sturgeon jumping at the edge of the mian current abour 400 yards out. Will be hitting the area every other weekend till the bite is on then i will be there every weekend.

Way to go bro. I use to fish like that below the John day dam on the columbia river almost every weekend with my dad we had a lot of great.times. I use to live in Yakima at that time then I move to Spokane about the same time when they change all the rules. Thank you for the report please keep them coming.god bless.
