I think your right about the numbers of fish but when the counts are over a thousand going over the dams you sure would think something would be happening. I like to go for overnight and fish 2 days as I also come from around Spokane but the option of places to stay are very limited ( I refuse to pay $35+ to stay at Boyer, call me cheap). Hope fishing gets better, I'm thinking about going to the confluence next time I try. Good luck.
