Spent 3 days in Southern Oregon fishing with my brother out of Bandon. Fishing was very slow. We had a number of hits but only three fish and one of those was a jack. The kings were 24# and 18# both caught on a cut plug herring late in the day. The 24#er stripped over 200 feet of line and was a great fight. The bite should improve into September and I am sure I will get a call saying "You should have come down this week!" Ahhh, to be retired. The crabbing was also slow for us that week, only able to keep 13 crab. Stupid seals destroyed one pot, dragged another out to the ocean, and ripped up the bait boxes in two rings. Those were 13 pretty expensive crabs! I look forward to my next trip down. I selected Nebraska because I needed to put something, and Oregon wasn't an option :)
