THIS POST IS FOR COLORADO... had a wedding to go to in georgetown colorado. And seen that they had a lake. Did some research, and decided to bring jerkbaits and spinners with.. day 1: slow. Got on the water about 930. Hooked into 2 browns. By 11. Then had to go to the wedding. Day 2: after getting shmammered at the wedding, get up at 645, on the water by 720. First cast yeilded a 7 inch brookie. Then another of similar size couple casts later... decided to warm up as the temp was 32 F. Moved to the main lake from the river. And started hooking into some good sized browns and a couple big brookies. Two brookies were 12 and 14 inches.. huge for that species. Then about a 17 inch brown. That wiggled away before I could snap a picture. My grandpa finally hooked into a couple browns. In all we ended up with 7 browns. 5 brookies, and a little rainbow for the morning. . A fantastic trip in all.
