Fished Big lake for the 1st time on Saturday. Arrived around 630 and were the only ones there! Fished all morning starting at the south end and working back to the launch along the west side. Water temps stayed between 52 and 54. I was surprised we never saw spooked fish or more fish for that matter. Saw some perch follows and got one perch. Then within 20 min of eachother got a 2.5 and a 2.7 lber. One came on a white swim bait then the next on a 6" white senko and that was it. It was slower than I expected. When we left around 1130 the wind picked up like crazy, we got off the water just in time. Another bass boat just got there and left soon after us since it was white capping. It was nice to avoid the crowds on opener though. Some people fishing the dock said they got 1 catfish, but left when we did do to wind as well.
