Paul Richwine and I got her Friday at 10 am and after a quick camp up we were set to head out for a day of pre-fishing before the Something Catchy Kokonee fishing tournament. People came from so many areas. Met some Great People and had a great time. Can not say how nice the people who ran it were and how great it was to meet so many great fisher people.

We had a good day, found some fish and marked a lot. We thought we had a pretty good game plan for the start at 4 am Saturday start time. The Captains package had a Brads Kokonee plug in it and we started with that and a few other things. Swapping back and forth we thought we were doing pretty good. At the weight in we did a respectable 30 out of 81 boats but we had three in the top 15 biggest Kokonee's. I also would like to add that for a whole 22 minutes I had the #2 Lake trout! ended up at the finish with the littlest of 41 weighed in LOL)

Day 2 was a tough day. We made a bad choice to run up the Mitchell creek area and the wind up the lake was bad and we spend two hours running and fishing for a big 0 in fish. Ran back down to the Yacht club area, picked up a few but not enough to limit the boat for the day so ran back to fish with 50 of our closest friends near Mill camp area and fished hard for the last 3 hours. Got our 10 for the boat, barley, and raced back for the 12:00 weigh in with 5 minutes to spare. To show you how tight this fishing is, and the how hot it is, we still were in the hunt for some of the best fishermen in the area.

The last few fish we caught turned out to be the best of the day for us. Paul got the second biggest KOKE of the tourney at 1.07 and I finished in a 3 way for 6th with 1.03, and 4 of the top 25 fish from our boat. He walked away with $500.00 to insure his wife will let him go next year as well! I got enough swag and won some great prizes to cover expenses plus some. Show how crazy it was, Paul was in the running for the SMALLEST KOKE's at .026 ounces for a while but ended up with the 4th smallest. LOl
