Went to Neah bay for the ling cod opener. Fished off sail rock and seal rock for hours. The wind was blowing 25 to 30 MPH. Could not keep gear on bottom. Finally looked at the charts and went behind wahdah islands. The wind was much less. About an hour later we were limited on lings. Brent Carlile landed a 43 inch ling. Not a monster. But it was big.... By the way, Bandi Carlile the singer was with this group of people. The whole Carlile family seemed to be on the fishing trip. Randy Carlile is the Gladiator of all Fishermen!!!! This SOB will do what ever it takes to make sure limits are completed, each and everyday. He will come in at dark during the summer and clean fish until 1AM. And then get up at 3:30 Am to do it all over again. Amazing Family.
