I decided to going fishing with my good friend Lonzo opening day. I had heard Mineral lake was a great lake to fish so we headed that way. Upon arriving to the lake I did not realize what kind of turn out that place gets on the opener. There must have been 200 people fishing that lake. When I saw all the traffic and the small launch, I decided that we would try this lake a little later in the season. We then decided to give Riffe lake a try. We ended up driving to the north end of the lake and launching the boat at Taidnapam. The water is probably about 30 feet down and the actual dock at the boat ramp is out of the water, however if you can back down a trailer you can back down right past it and into the lake. We found that we were the only ones at the lunch and pretty much had the whole lake to ourselves which was awesome. You do have to watch where you are trolling as there are a lot of shallow areas. I would suggest sticking to the river channel if you decide to give it a try. We ended up catching our limits with in 2 hours of trolling in the middle of the day. We caught them top lining a small rainbow trout rapala style lure and also on the downrigger at 10 ft trolling a homemade pink flash smile blade, with glow bead and pink stacker body and a slow death hook tipped with a crawler.

Thanks for report! I went and scouted the Mossyrock campground launch, you will have no dock there, 30 feet below ends of high and dry dock.

What size are those fish you caught?

Fyi, tilt your transducer back a notch, and get a full arch out of those fish marks! (if this helps, thank Larry3215)

Thanks Larry, I was in an accident when trailering the boat, a lady hit me and the transducer was broken off. I had it replaced and they used different bracket to mount and didn't ensure the bracket was straight so I am getting the funky arches.
