Had it planned well, arrived just as it started to sprinkle. Turned to rain a ways in to the day and then turned to whitecaps and downpour!

I launched and went under the Guide as there was already a boat fishing the main lake. I went around this side twice. On the first pass I had a nice one grab my jig but I'm pretty sure it was by the trailer as the connection felt weird? He also caught me out of position and my hookset wasn't the greatest so it probably took it and I just failed to penetrate the bony mouth. Anyways, nice short fight and wake as she swam off. I had one other follow but didn't commit. I ducked back under the Guide to the main lake spooking a two pounder out from under the bridge. I split the two boats as there was one on each side of the lake and motored to the far east end. Fished this area, spooking one in some pads and that was the day, especially once the weather put the hammer down!

Water temps were right at 60*. This lake never was one that handled pressure well, think I will try again post spawn and under the correct conditions.
