Was really hoping for a repeat of last year but the fish are just too far along in the spawning process. The few I caught were mostly males and the biggest only went 4.8 pounds. I fished numerous areas twice but the most productive were the islands and the outlet area. Swimbait missed a couple, flipping missed two and the swim jig caught everything that smacked it.

Thick green goo covering a lot of the reeds now so you clean your bait off every cast! Spinnerbait was difficult so I just stuck with the swim jig and swimbait. Water temps dipped back down into the upper 50's and most of the lake was pretty cloudy from the storm.

Now the bass are starting to bed I doubt I'll be running back up here anytime soon. Local waters will suffice until the spawn dies down.
