Went to Wildcat yesterday afternoon looking to maybe catch one of those tagged rainbows by the fisheries. The stockers were jumping right in front of the ramp at about 3pm. I trolled a bronze hammered wedding ring tipped with a yellow maggot and got multiple hits. Most fish between 9-12 inches and were tough little fighters. Fish were up high. The Osprey's were doing power dives into the lake it was amazing. It was an easy catch release afternoon. I released about 6 fish and lost about 4 more right along side the boat. Again nothing too big but a lot fun solo. I didn't catch any of the tagged fish unfortunately....another day.
The launch on both sides was busy with bank and wait folks. So I was really careful and took my time backing my trailer into the water and not causing a big splash coming out. The launch is angled with a fence right next to it so it made it interesting.
