My first time fishing Scootney. Nice lake that holds real potential. It took awhile to figure out but eventually my friend Robbie and I started hooking the marble eyes. We ended up with 8 13 to 17" fish. Bottom walkers. Green was a good color. Depths of 10 to 20 feet. Best location in the middle of the lake off a rock island. Watch out for underwater hazards! Go slow until you learn the lake.

One thing else to be aware of. The afternoon wind hits the boat launch at a 45 degree angle. Strong winds made it a bit challenging to line up on the dock without hitting it. Boaters beware!

you're welcome! The park and lake are a good alternative to potholes if you're looking for a spinyray fix and don't want to deal with the big lake. I didn't target smallmouth much, did hook up briefly with one tossing a senko. I think this lake would be very good with the right boat for bass and crappie.

Neat lake! AGAIN, WATCH OUT FOR UNDERWATER HAZARDS. There are PLENTY!!!! No, I haven't hit any, but have seen it happen.

There are a lot of perch here. WDFW estimates 80% of the fish in Scootney are yellow perch.
