Good evening fishermen and ladies. Today the wife, son, and myself hit loon at the crack of 1000 this morning and the water was amazing, 58 degrees, flat, and fairly clear. The weather was nearly perfect, 62 degrees to 69 degrees at 1545 lots of sunlight and barely any, if at all, wind what an awesome day for fishing.
Decided to troll for kokes and small trout. We had all four lines in and we were set by 1015. First bite came 4 minutes after all the lines were set but after missing that bite we soon realized that the bite was slow for kokes and even worse for trout.
It took me two hours to figure out the speed (1.1-
1.3) and where they were at (100 yards straight out from the public launch) but the interesting part was all they wanted was purple smiles today. Which was great for a few other boats who had them but was slow for me since I only had the one.
However after 5 and a half hours and a ton of sun light we ended the day with 15 kokes and for me one hell of a sun burn... Hopefully the fish taste fantastic to make up for the burning sensation I'm having right now.

Hopefully this was helpful; this is my first time posting.

Those all look like rainbows, spots around the tail and tail doesn't look forked enough for kokanee.

Ok guys I regret to inform yall that I posted the wrong pic of the fish we caught... The picture posted is our catch from Williams lake from may 6th of this year. I would update the picture but for some reason it will not allow me to change it.

To answer some of the questions about the kokes, they ranged in size from 10 to 15 inches, we lost a bigger one at the boat and they were all fairly thick (lots of meat). If someone knows how to change the pictures please inform me.... Sorry for the bad pic.

Thanks for the info on size. That would be a great koke for Loon if there were a 15" one in there this time of year. The site administrator should be able to help with the pic issue.
