Went to maryhill camping for an extended weekend targeting smallmouth. We fished the Columbia the night of the 18th and afternoon of the 19th. 4 of us caught a hand full of bass 2 walleye which was a first for me and 1 pikeminnow. Caught the walleye on white annd green swimbaits. The bass on various lures including cranks senkos swimbaits and creature baits. We kept fish throughout the trip and they had been eating crawdads. We didnt catch anything over 4lbs. Biggest fish was caught on a deep drop wall and bass where on steep drops where the water is slower. Got a few bass and walleye in shallow water 5 to 8 ft deep near islands. Big fish were jumping the first night around us. Not sure if they were chinook or carp? Water temp on the river was low to mid 50s and the water was swift and colored a bit.
