After a couple of skunk trips over the winter, Lake Sammamish was good to us Wednesday. It took us about 3 hours hours to find the fish but when we did it was party time.
Had multiple drivebys, lost another 10-15 and finally got 10 in the boat, all in about 2 hours.
We used the setups in the pics. Two different OldGoat OG-1's in the 1.8" size with a little worm scent, and a green spinner (that I have no idea where it came from) with a worm chunk. Both about 30 inches behind the flasher in the pic. Lines back about 100 feet and down 30 feet, speed appx 1.5mph, 75 fow.
The spinner with worm trailer caught fish but also accounted for virtually all the drivebys and lost fish. Dont know why, almost no worm trailer, maybe the hook is dull. The fish absolutely HAMMERED the OldGoat lures. We had some amazing take downs and no lost fish.
Fish ranged in size from 14-19 inches. For some unknown reason I didnt get a pic of all the fish but the 19 incher was really nice and it was stuffed with some type of smolt.
Tight lines!
Randy
