The family and I hit Birch Bay State Park for the first time today. Since the wdfw page said there were oysters and our usual beach doesn't. Sadly I didn't see any at Birch either. The wife and I got easy limits of smallish butters and steamers, couldn't keep the kiddo interested in digging to get her bag topped off so she ended with 23. The kiddo helped me work my second hole, between her finding clams in the the muck pile as I worked the hole bigger and the ones I find we pulled 63 clams out of that hole. It wasn't but 3 foot deep and about 4 foot in diameter. Once I filled that hole in, I went out to the sandbar and dug a quick limitof horses, while the wife finished off her limit. All in all it was a great day on the beach, just wish there were oysters too lol.
