Since my son moved to Seattle, Angle Lake has become his home lake. He fishes it from the dock. Today we started fishing in my boat about 8:30am. This is the first time we have fished together in many years and the first time Bo has used downriggers to troll. I tried stacking but I couldn’t do it and help him so I stopped after the second tangle. The first was a fish which can be understandable nonetheless it gave me great footage. About 20 minutes later I got another trout and I had 2 or 3 more bites that I saw. My son had one bite. He tried about 4 different lures and at the end he longlined but the only bite he got was on the Dick Nite 50/50 dodger with the Wannafish A Lure Gilded Lily like I used.
He did catch 2 trout after I left by fishing on the dock with power bait.
The water temperature was 69 degrees and it was supposed to get in the mid 80’s and I know it did. There was a slight breeze. We quit between 11:30 and 12.
I did not see any kokanee.
This is not a place to go with the sun out because there is not enough parking which makes trying to get your boat out awkward and there are people everywhere. They were having a picnic right at the launch. The people fishing don’t realize the dock they are on is for boats and when it is approaching it does mean to dock. Sure was glad to get home to air conditioning.
To the other trollers, in the Livingston, I hope you enjoy the report and movie since you are fans of my videos and Northwest Fishing Reports.
