Went to Potholes launching at the state park. We headed to the crab creek area fishing the “humps” and the only thing we caught was about a million-little green aphid looking bugs that were swarming like crazy. After an hour of no bites and being bug infested, we headed to Medicare Beach and luckily there were no bugs. We trolled in 10-25 FOW and caught the first fish in about 10 minutes, made a U-turn and went back through the same hole and caught another. We made 6 passes through the same hole and caught a total of 4 walleye. Two fish were caught on planer boards using a plain slow death and worm set up and two fish were caught on homemade orange spinners. After hitting the walleye hole, no other fish were caught except a few bullheads. We left after about 3 hours of fishing. I’m going to give Billy Clapp a try in a couple days.
