Patty and I fished Banks Saturday and Sunday, camping at Coolee Playland. Flat water surprised us since Friday the wind was fierce. Water temp still cold at north end 58 and around 64 in the main lake and Devil's Punchbowl. We finally found a few fish in 20' at edges of weedbeds. They were feeding on perch fry. Sat we ended with 5 16-18" and released half a dozen dinks. Fish checker said he saw very few that day. Sunday we finally found some fish along the face of Steamboat, putting 4 into the livewell. We trolled superslow death rigs with perch colors working best for us. There was a guide fishing the same water on sunday, same speed and trolling pattern as us, but he was getting fish every few minutes. The pro's know their Stuff! Weather was great for the fishermen, a little wind probably would have helped the catching. Still a great time! Tight Lines... Lee

thanks for the report. Yes they also have the advantage of more poles in the water plus more TIME on the water doesn't hurt. They are guides for a reason.
Glad you got some in the boat!!
