I fished both Saturday and Sunday with crews searching for the trophy Kokanee that are hiding in Lake Roosevelt. They are a lot harder to find this year due to their lower numbers.

Most of our fish came off my surface rods at 5,10,and 15'. 10' and 15' seemed to be best. I chased deeper marks with the down riggers with some success, but I don't feel these fish are yet actively feeding at these deeper depths. We caught several fish on orange, pink, and chartreuse spinners, but once again the Arctic Fox Trolling Tube flies fished with a #2 action disc accounted for most the fish. Orange an olive were great producers. I recommend using a single #1 octopus style hook. This will reduce the number of planter trout you hook and they will release easier than if you use a two hook or treble hook set up. Both days were just beautiful. We saw several eagles (aka fish finders) and mule deer including several bucks. We got nice fish both days, but finally tied into three nice Kokanee on Sunday.

I can show you how to catch em, but I can't make em bite.

Capt.Dave, are you trolling that Arctic Fox behind a flasher or dodger or alone?

No dodger. The wiggle fin adds the action and would have too much drag on a dodger, but could work behind a triangle flasher.
