Fished Potholes Reservoir this past Saturday with the OG1s. We started off of Medicare Beach--fishing one OG1 on the downrigger and another on a 1-ounce trolling weight. Trolling speed was right around 2mph and the depth (on the downrigger) varied from 10 to 20 feet.
It was pretty slow. A couple of drive-bys. But, very little activity.
That afternoon, we changed strategy and location: Moved to the southern edge of the dunes and fished the OG1s solo (no flasher, dodger, etc.) We were trolling west-to-east along this edge. Ended up with three nice bows (21", 19", and 17"). And, we lost what appeared to be our biggest bow to date (snapped the leader). Trolling speed was just under 2mph and kept the downrigger right around 10 feet.
The top performing lure was a 2.8" OG1 in the Perch color. This was followed by a 2.44" OG1 in orange/white.
