First time on this water, tho' have driven by it many times over the years. Very deep, clear water. Beautiful setting, although the highway noise was a bit distracting. Aside from a couple of canoers, Dad and I were the only anglers on the lake this morning.
Trolled for kokanee using green Wedding Ring, tipped with Shoepeg corn, 18-inches behind double willow blades. [Don't forget the bungee for these tender-mouthed fish.] Had best luck while varying speeds runnning between 2 and 3 colors of leaded line. Also hit fish using a small Cannon down-rigger set between 15 and 25 feet. We started at 7 a.m. and had limits before noon, missing our share of strikes in between. The fish were about 10-inches, more or less, and fiesty. Definitely worth a repeat trip.
