Tough fishing for me at Banks. Fished Barker Flats, Punchbowl and the outside face of steamboat rock. Heading to the south end next time.

I just got home from Banks, fished the south end all day. I only caught 3 'eyes and 2 sm bass. Must have been slow for the others as well because by noon most were gone. I caught all of my fish by then and could just as well left myself but you know fishermen... eternal optimists.

Thanks! At least I can stop thinking I'd have done a lot better at the south end.

I fished the same areas last Thursday and Friday. I was thinking the same thing as I was heading home Friday afternoon and saw all the boats out at the South end. Big Wally's report must be driving the shift to the South. We got 6 fish in two days. The best was evening over in the Barker Flats. I just used a 1/4 ounce jig with a crawler on it. They had moved in shallow - 10 to 15 ft deep. The hardest hits I have ever gotten from a walleye. Thought I had a bass on as it started stripping out line like crazy. Very ornery fish as it kept snapping at my hand while removing the hook. Should have stayed out later as the next day was slow.

BTW, those fish are awfully familiar looking. I was talking to you at the fish cleaning station on Friday morning. And you say you hadn't posted before? ;-)
