Woke up around 7:30am and decided to go cast out a line while the fish were jumping. Put a Yamamoto 6" plastic worm on my hook and on the first cast caught a nice 13" smallmouth. Waded in the water for another half an hour and caught another, which was a bit smaller. Ran out out bait so I headed into Newport to get more, but when I got back, I only caught a few small perch and a small german brown. The neighbor was casting off of his dock using night crawlers and caught two 20"+ walleyes. The fish are out there, but seem to only be biting in the morning and at night.
