Well, now that I got the issues that Cabela’s caused fixed I went to Alder Lake with Kim (pinkpole) and her grandson Terrence.
It was pretty quiet on the lake until about 11am when the pleasure boaters came out.
The sun was shining, the water temperature was almost 74 and there was slight breeze. The water level was at 1199. From watching the videos the water is cloudier than it was July 15, the last time I was here.
I stayed between 30 and 40 feet on the downriggers which didn’t catch anything. I thought I only had 3 bites but after watching the video I had more on. I was too busy watching my remote for the electric motor and netting Kim’s fish.
She got the crappie within the first 10 minutes on the Patriot, then an unclipped kokanee. We had a lull before she caught a little crappie we released. Terrence lost his at the net. He was long lining with a Green Machine. We decided we would quit soon and get the big motor started and go fast when Kim catches a cutthroat trout on a special Bloody Mary. Her trifecta. So that was it. We started about 8:30 and finished about 12:00.
I have lots to learn about this new computerized electric motor.
