My wife and I fished Mon, Tues and Wed and as expected the fishing was slow.
Monday morning less than 10 minutes after getting gear down one line snapped off the downrigger and a 25" Sockeye was reeled in by my wife. It took a couple hours to get one more in the boat. The same series of events played out on Tuesday and we came in with 2 more.
The smoke that showed up on Tuesday was terrible!
Wednesday we fished for a short time and decided to get out of the smoke and headed west to Fort Casey and went after Kings and crab.
Most of our fishing was done on the east side of lake South of the crowds and between Swift creek campground where we stayed and Horseshoe Cove Campground to the South.
We used a wide variety of gear from fish flash to sling blades to double D's and hoochies smile blades, beads and bare hooks.
We used red, pink and orange hooks as well.
The one setup that caught multiple fish was a green sling blade with a orange hoochie and orange hooks.
Our trolling was kept between .9 and 1.2 mph
